MY LAST DJ SET ON SL FOR 2010.....AND A REFLECTION OF THE YEAR!!

As I think about all I have done and been through in 2010 (good or bad) it was a great year for music and DJing. The new peeps I met and new fans i gathered was awesome, as well as giving the usual jacks some musical pleasure. I reminisced about that and more while I was DJing my Last set for 2010, which was at SKY Beach's Rocket Club.

The crowd was intense and that got me thinking even more. There are places that I DJed at for the first time in 2010, which is pretty much where some of my new fans come from. Also, with the great cooperation between the cool clubs and groups, I realized what a wonderful world we created in SL to party, shop, design, spin tunes,  and if need be...get a little sexual :)

I really hope none of this stops and the ride will go on for years and years. Yeah I know nothing lasts forever, but like energy: It is never created or destroyed...just changed into a different form. Look at what has happened for all of us from 2006 - the start of 2011 (I use these years cause that is how long I been apart of this awesome world of SL). So many places have come and gone....so many people have come and gone...many stay and many come back to visit. As I said nothing has been destroyed or created...but the changes we go through has been fuckin awesome.

Normally I would not display or mention this here or in world before New Year's Eve, but this year I am not doing my annual SL New Year's Eve drunkin bash cause I am DJing at a Party in RL that night. MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!

MOUNTAINBEAR AND I CELEBRATED OUR 4 YEAR SL WEDDING ANNIVERSARY TODAY!!

MountainBear and I eloped on SL 4 years ago on this very day. It has been a fun ride that still continues and I love the guy so much. We partied at Frixion, then wandered and did romantic things at Tymus and Truck's Calas Winter Sims. Dance romatically and chatted while riding sleds, ice skating, and balloon rides.

OMG THE RUMORS ARE TRUE - 40 GROUP LIMIT COMING!

What was a rumor and heavy topic floating around SL Blogs, forums, news feeds, and in world chatter is now totally true. I am sure this news might have came out weeks or so ago, but you know me: I don't believe it until I see it where LL is concerned. They will plan to up the group cap from 25 - 40 by the end of this year or beginning of next. They say by the end of this year but once again: I will believe it when I see it lol.

As a DJ, Club Owner, Clothing Store Franchise Owner, and co-owner/officer/etc in other groups, I have had to juggle groups to DJ or rezz stuff in various shops and leave or re-join them. I even got wise and use my money alt, Woofman Lyle, to join groups my friends have and I would get all their announcements in my email account to stay in touch with what is going on in their lives in SL. 40 groups I am sure will not solve the whole problem for many, but at least they finally going in the right direction and this will help a great deal. After all this viewer version 2 crap, which I still find as bad as Whitney Houston's crack habbit.

Great News from Linden Labs:

Group Limits Will be Raised to 40
Another big pain point for Residents is the current limit that lets you be a member of only 25 groups. We plan to raise this limit to 40 by the end of this year. In the past, our biggest concern about raising group limits was potential performance degradation, with additional stress placed on our central database. After completing some internal analysis, we now feel comfortable enough to extend group limits up to 40. I’ll put a qualifier on the group limits increase, however, and state that if we see a decrease in performance (i.e., more lag), then we may decide to roll back to the 25 limit again.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM COCKWOOD DESIGNZ!!

HAPPY 3 1/2 YEARS ARSENAL AND GAY ZONE GERMANY

Saturday I got to DJ for an hour in the 9 hour 9 Arsenal DJs celebration party that kicks off the 3 and a half year anniversary of Arsenal and Gay Zone Germany. There is gonna be many events happening on the 3 Sims that comprises the Gay Zone estates (Gay Zone Germany, Friendship/AquA, and Haven).

I am blessed to be apart of the Gay Zone Family (AquA Lounge Funplex and Resorts sit on half of the Friednship Sim). Look out for notices and events happening at Arsenal, BadeHaus, AquA and at the Friendship Main Area.

Friday Dec 3rd will be a huge 10 hour 5 club party at the main area on the Friendship Sim. AquA, Age of Iron, Gay Fun World, BadeHaus, and Arsenal will jam all their usual Friday Parties into one gigantic sex pot of other worldly sounds and dance.

DANCING AT BLU FOR THE NOOB THANKSGIVING PARTY LOL!

Had off from DJing this Monday so I went out clubbing. Stopped off over at BLU for a creepy but so funny party. Only Club BLU can you get this many people to come all noobed up without a contest LOL. I had a blast and DJ Zann, Shep, and Dex of course rock the house great.

It is always hard for me to get out and club and have some fun when I have so much going on in SL with AquA, Cockwood, GA, DJ World and so on...as well as my RL commitments, But BLU is definitely one place I love to dance at from time to time.

MY NEW FAVORITE SONG FOR THIS WEEK...OH YEAH IT'S ROBYN :)

Robyn, who I love the way there is a story in the music, has a new song and video out. It is called Hang With Me. This is the single right after the awesome Dancing on My Own. I thought it would be hard to beat that but this is very good and I love it too much.

MY RL BIRTHDAY TODAY WOOT!

I am a year older in RL...Now at the age of 38. Had a few celebrations with various friends and love ones in RL,  which is why I have not been around on SL much this week. Next week my SL and RL will be back to normal, or as normal can be hehe.

OMG I AM OLD!!! DJ INSYX'S 4TH REZZ DAY :)

Well I have to say that today 4 years ago when I started SL, I never thought I would be here this long. Back then I checked it out in an era where I only played first person shooters and action games online against people. This has been and pretty much the only role play, sim based, whatever game or application I have or will ever do. I have met many friends, family, best buds, fans, mates, and any other endearing category on here to keep my heart pumping and my love flowing.

A Lot has changed on SL through out my years, but then again nothing really changed. It is still fun and awesome to explore new builds, parties, clubs, and art. I am not having a rezz day party per-se, but I will party like I do on my rl birthdays. Just hangout with friends and buds, and maybe celebrate a little at my club, friend's clubs, and at my DJ sets for the day.

FRIGHT NIGHT / ANGELS AND DEMONS UP IN THE BOX!!

Yeah I figure I will be DJing many different Halloween parties in SL. Sounds redundant, but not really. I love the festive jams. The one this weekend at 3Bears Box Club was wild. Angels and Demons dancing seductively in a well built crypt. The Dancers Gwydion and Jak strutting their stuff, Galileo doing some awesome hosting. I spun new tunes with old favorites and Gothic sounds and angelic synths. The contest was very close as all costumes were looking awesome.
