Now you know I love to explore places in Second Life as much as I love to DJ. I rarely get to do it much with RL being hectic and all the stuff I do in SL. Plus I use to do it more when my SL son Bret and hubby MountainBear use to be online more often. So anyways, I took a little trip to the sim of Abyss. Not only is it a wild apocalypse of a sim build...it happens to be a great skin and gear store.
SLURL for here is....
Anyways, enjoy the pics...I find this place very cool for photography and the products are pretty cool too. :)

Last year Jago Constantine did a Top 10 list of DJs in the LGBT Community, which was voted on by the DJs themselves. I was honored to be number 1 on that list. This Year I am Number 1 again and I am truly honored to be on the list even if I was not Number 1. There is a great list of talent in the TOP 10 as well as in the runner ups. You can view that post and list here ----->> http://jagoconstantine.blogspot.com/2011/06/top-10-djs-in-second-lifes-gay-scene.html
I kinda do like the whole idea of polling the DJs and getting each one's top 3 picks. It does make for some close voting as you see in some ties on the list. I think he did a good job and I am not saying this just because I came in first place. I am saying that because to be honored by peers in any profession is a blessing in disguise. Remember we all started to DJ because we heard someone doing it in RL or SL and felt inspired. I know I was inspired to do so. I done it a few times at some parties and in college in RL....Lately I been DJing at some cool Irish Pubs, Sports Bars and College Bars off and on in RL now because of all this.
Now if we were all famous like RL celebs then maybe a people's choice award would be satisfactory, but SL has a long way to go. I mean I look at the awards they have over at the official overall SL site and not one LGBT person is mentioned. Best DJ wound up being someone I have never ever heard of in my life and I bet many if not all of you has either LOL. That right there is my point.
Well all in all It is a great poll and I notice some DJs I have not had the pleasure of listening to. Now I have info on where to go hear them and party so That in itself is the best thing to come from this poll. Congrats to Jago for doing this and Congrats to all my peers...win or lose we all rock...and this is evidenced by the hot sexy parties we spin at :)
Keep the music going and Hugs!!

|DJ InsyX in Real Life at NYC Pride 2011|
|My Real Life Bear Danny ( In the Orange Shirt)|
I know I was missing from Seconf Life on Sunday the 26th of June, but I had good reasons. I was away in Real Life hanging out with my bear Danny and buds watching the Gay Pride Parade in New York City. I do love this time of year and love the fun and excitement that is in the air from the LGBT Community. I took some good pictures and wish I could have found a better spot. We usually do 5th Avenue and 26th Street but we got downtown later than we wanted to be. So we figured we rock out down in the West Village, which is one of the gay meccas in NYC.
The route was shorter than usual this year. Usually it goes from 52nd and Fifth Ave. to the end of Christopher Street. This year it started at 36th Street and 5th Avenue. Normally I would have cried fowl, but I realized it was due to budget cuts in the police force and other issues. It did however got the masses much more grouped together and that made the excitement (and perv camming) quite intense.
All in all we had a great time and even got them to check out Boxers, which is a gay bear sports bar. Danny is not into sports and the others love it like me, but everyone had a great time because it was a cool thing to see huge TVs that broadcast every sports channel from the ESPNs to the Fox Sports World channels, and have fuse ball, pool, ping pong and other activities that is known in the "straight world" yet still be a hoppin gay bar. It is my favorite hangout in the gay scene besides The Eagle Leather Bar. I did not get to take pictures in Boxers or at the Pier dance due to my phone dying. Man I took so much from the parade and fair that I went through a lot of my battery of my Droid2. Taking pictures in SL is so much easier than RL in that aspect LOL.
Enjoy the pictures of Pride here in my city and hope you all had or will have a great Pride in your neck of the world. Hoooo!!
